Job Description
The intern will gain hands-on exposure to administrative processes in county government while supporting program delivery across gender, youth, children, sports, and social services. This includes managing documentation, coordinating departmental activities, supporting office operations, and ensuring smooth communication within the department.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support general office administration within the Department of Gender, Children, Youth, Sports & Social Services.
Assist in records management, filing, and retrieval of documents.
Provide front office support including reception, communication, and customer service.
Support departmental meetings, workshops, and events through logistics and documentation.
Help in preparing reports, memos, and correspondence.
Assist in coordinating social welfare programs and community activities under the department.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism in handling departmental information.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Front Office Management, or Records Management from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office and related software).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
High integrity and commitment to public service values.
