The Opportunity
Abt Global is seeking a qualified Administration, Logistics, and Finance Officer to support the daily operations of the PMI Evolve Uganda Project Office in Tororo. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role is key to ensuring smooth administrative functions, efficient logistics, and compliant financial processes. The officer will manage office systems, procurement, inventory, petty cash, and support internal controls to keep the project running effectively.
Project Overview
The President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) Evolve Project, awarded to Abt Global in December 2022, works in partnership with national malaria programs to plan, implement, and monitor vector control interventions. These include indoor residual spraying (IRS), distribution of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), and entomological monitoring necessary for informed decision-making.

How to Apply
Administration
Manage day-to-day office operations including supplies, utilities, and equipment.
Maintain updated records such as staff files, contracts, and leave registers.
Provide logistical support for meetings, travel, and administrative tasks.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and Ugandan regulations.
Welcome and direct visitors appropriately.
Logistics & Procurement
Oversee procurement processes in line with internal and donor guidelines.
Maintain inventory and asset registers; ensure proper tagging and tracking.
Coordinate deliveries, transportation, and shipment logistics.
Engage with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Support vehicle movement planning and coordination.
Finance
Handle daily bookkeeping and financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and file payment forms, receipts, and financial documentation.
Manage and reconcile petty cash, ensuring proper use and timely replenishment.
Review payment requests and mobile money transactions for completeness.
Assist in financial reporting and preparation for audits.
Ensure proper internal financial controls and flag discrepancies to the Senior Management Team.
Support staff in adhering to financial procedures and policies.
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Provide documentation and support during audits.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial records.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in a similar administrative or finance role.
Strong understanding of financial systems, procurement processes, and logistics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
