Job Description
Job Title: Accounts Payable Officer

Location: Uganda
Reports to: Finance Manager
Ranchers Finest (U) Ltd is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to support our financial operations. This role is responsible for managing outgoing payments, processing invoices, verifying financial data, and maintaining accurate records to ensure timely and efficient financial transactions.

How to Apply
Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Allocate expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports
Schedule and prepare vendor payments, monitor discount opportunities, and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions accurately
Reconcile vendor accounts and monthly statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Maintain historical records through proper filing and document management
Track all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, and invoices
Process employee expense reports and prepare paychecks
Address vendor inquiries and ensure timely resolution of payment-related issues
Prepare account analysis and generate monthly financial reports
Continuously identify and implement improvements in the payment process
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
CPA or ACCA Level II is an added advantage
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or financial administration
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems is an advantage
Sound understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
