Job Description

Ensure an effective and efficient optimization of resources entrusted to you.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Receive, safe guard cash and other cash equivalent documents where applicable.
  • Ensure cash and cheques are banked.
  • Timely preparation and payment of approved vouchers.
  • Register all cheques paid out.
  • Receipt uncollected payments after 5 days.
  • Manage petty cash and submit reports to the accountant on daily basis.
  • Post cash payments and receipts daily and submit for checking to Accountant.
  • Do daily computer reconciliation with vouchers.
  • Report any cash shortages immediately
  • Do monthly cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Participate in preparation of financial reports.
  • Support in yearly stock taking exercise.
  • Participate in Budget development.
  • Keep office equipment and records safely and ensure confidentiality.
  • Filling of signed and defaced vouchers.
  • Perform any other accounting functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in audit function.
