Job Description
Ensure an effective and efficient optimization of resources entrusted to you.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, safe guard cash and other cash equivalent documents where applicable.
- Ensure cash and cheques are banked.
- Timely preparation and payment of approved vouchers.
- Register all cheques paid out.
- Receipt uncollected payments after 5 days.
- Manage petty cash and submit reports to the accountant on daily basis.
- Post cash payments and receipts daily and submit for checking to Accountant.
- Do daily computer reconciliation with vouchers.
- Report any cash shortages immediately
- Do monthly cash and bank reconciliations.
- Participate in preparation of financial reports.
- Support in yearly stock taking exercise.
- Participate in Budget development.
- Keep office equipment and records safely and ensure confidentiality.
- Filling of signed and defaced vouchers.
- Perform any other accounting functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Participate in audit function.
