Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves documenting transactions, recommending financial actions, and ensuring financial compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a hospital setting, demonstrate analytical abilities, and be proficient in financial software and reporting tools.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide financial insights to management through research and data analysis
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing information
Maintain accurate financial records by documenting transactions
Recommend financial strategies based on financial data and analysis
Prepare key financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
CPA(K), ACCA, or CFA certification

Minimum 3 years working in a busy hospital setting
Computer literate and proficient in financial software
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
