The Accountant position based in Kalisizo involves providing crucial support to the finance department through the analysis and reporting of financial data. Key responsibilities include daily posting and approval of payment vouchers, managing subgrantee accounts, ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations, and preparing various financial reports.
The role also requires performing general ledger reconciliations, supporting audits, and conducting capacity-building training for subgrantees. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, a professional qualification (ACCA or CPA), and at least one year of relevant experience. Strong attention to detail, integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
Post and report vouchers
Approve vouchers, manage funds
Complete additional assigned tasks
Maintain subgrantee documentation
Reconcile accounts, process payroll.
Ensure tax compliance, filing
Conduct audits, support improvements
Degree in finance/accounting.
ACCA or CPA required
Proficiency in Navision
Highly creative and autonomous
Minimum one year experience
Strong accounting knowledge.

Strong analytical skills
