The Accountant at Jolems Investment Limited will play a crucial role in the financial management of the company. This position involves both receivables and payables, requiring a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of financial principles.
Accounts Receivable: Manage all incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Follow up on outstanding invoices and maintain a healthy cash flow.
Accounts Payable: Oversee all outgoing payments, including supplier invoices and employee expenses. Ensure all payments are made on time and recorded accurately.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actuals against budget and investigate variances.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of materials for external auditors. Ensure all financial records are accurate and complete.
Work Targets:
Maintain an accounts receivable collection period of less than 30 days.
Ensure all supplier invoices are paid within agreed payment terms.
Achieve a monthly financial reporting accuracy of 99%.
Assist in reducing budget variances by 10%.
Ensure zero non-compliance issues in audits.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in a similar role.
ACCA or CPA (if applicable)
Experience with ERPNext
Experience with auditing, taxes, NSSF, etc
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
