Job Description
Irebero Sapientia Investment Corporation Ltd (I.S.I.Company Ltd) invites all interested and qualified people to apply for the exciting role of Accountant at APAPEC IREBERO Nursery and Primary School. The core purpose of the role is to oversee all financial and accounting functions of the school to support its educational mission through accurate financial reporting and efficient budget management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop annual operating budgets, monitor spending, and analyse budget variances; 2. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded filed and reported; 3. Prepare monthly, termly and annual financial statements for the school board and Business Operations Manager;
- Manage pupils billing, track outstanding balances and issue invoices or receipts; 5. Process monthly salaries, benefits, pension contributions, and statutory tax deductions for all staff;
- Verify vendor invoices, track purchase orders, and process timely disbursements; 7. Perform monthly reconciliations of all school bank accounts;
- Prepare documentation for annual external audit and ensure compliance with national tax laws; 9. Check termly the availability of an updated registry of school property, equipment, and inventory held by the Scholl Logistician;
- Check the performance of monthly reconciliation of petty cash;
- Ensure perfect filing of accounting documents.
