Job Description
To support the finance function by recording daily financial transactions, assisting with accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records for the business.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Daily Accounting Tasks
- Record daily sales and expenses.
- Post invoices, receipts and payments into the accounting system.
- Prepare daily cash and mobile money summaries.
- Assist with bank and cash reconciliations.
Payments & Receivables
- Assist in preparing supplier payment schedules.
- Issue invoices and receipts to customers when required.
- Follow up on outstanding payments under guidance from the supervisor.
Stock & Cost Support
- Assist with stock counts and record stock movements.
- Help track basic costs for food, beverages, and supplies.
Payroll & Statutory Support
- Assist in preparing payroll data
- Help compile information for statutory deductions (NSSF, PAYE).
Records & Administration
- File accounting documents properly (invoices, receipts, vouchers).
- Maintain organized financial records (physical and electronic).
- Support audits by providing requested documents.
