Job Description
The AAP Officer strengthens the accountability system by ensuring effective feedback and complaint mechanisms, overseeing data collection and analysis for decision-making, and fostering organizational learning. The role requires strong collaboration with program and operations teams. The AAP Officer reports to the AAP Manager and supports Health and Protection & Empowerment programs at the field level.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Quality and Strategy
- Update and review SOPs and Feedback Plans with the AAP Manager
- Strengthening feedback mechanisms both proactive and reactive in consultation with M&E and programming teams
- Lead processes to collect, review, classify, and respond to client feedback at field level
- Conduct FGDs and stakeholder meetings to gather community feedback
- Produce CRA reports for discussion in field meetings and project review sessions
- Participate in data collection and analysis when required
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor
Program Development
- Support the integration of accountability in proposals and reporting
- Ensure accountability considerations across the full program cycle
- Develop or adapt accountability communication materials (posters, brochures, noticeboards)
- Provide basic accountability training—including IRC Code of Conduct—to staff, partners, and community structures
- Participate in monthly review meetings with program teams and senior management
Staff Performance Management, Learning & Development
- Support capacity building for IRC staff and Camp-Based Assistance (CBA) teams on client responsiveness
- Document lessons learned and best practices using accountability tools, and sharing internally
