Commission-Based Field Collections Agents (6 Positions)
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Compensation: Performance-Based Commission + Retainer
Reporting To: Collections Team Leader
Position Overview
We're hiring 6 dynamic and motivated Field Collections Agents to join our growing team in Kampala. As a Collections Agent, you will play a key role in recovering overdue loan payments, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that Numida’s portfolio remains healthy.
You’ll be in the field—meeting clients, collecting payments, and supporting our mission to offer responsible lending to Uganda’s entrepreneurs.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Client Follow-Up: Contact clients regularly to recover overdue loan amounts, track payment commitments, and record all interactions in our CRM.
Field Collections: Conduct in-person visits to clients to recover payments when digital follow-ups are unsuccessful—always maintaining professionalism.
Reporting: Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports on collections, challenges, and client feedback to the Team Leader and Credit Operations Manager.
Client Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with clients to promote repayment, resolve concerns, and minimize future defaults.
Compliance: Ensure all recovery activities follow Numida's Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to applicable regulations.
Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly recovery targets for your assigned portfolio.
Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to align field strategies with company goals and enhance collections efficiency.
Problem Solving: Identify reasons for non-payment and propose tailored strategies to recover loans while preserving client relationships.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum 2 years in collections, field sales, or a customer-facing role.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Time management and self-organization
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Android apps, CRM tools, and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)
Languages: Fluent in English and at least one Ugandan local language; multilingual candidates are a plus.
Availability: Willing and able to travel regularly within assigned areas.

Timeliness and accuracy of reporting
