Location: Uganda
JCRC is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position:
Position Title: Driver
Number of Positions: Two (2)
Reports to: Transport and Logistics Officer
Duty Station: JCRC Headquarters, Lubowa (with possible upcountry travel)
Job Summary:
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services to JCRC staff, visitors, and materials. The role also includes vehicle maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting logistics as needed.

How to Apply
Safely operate JCRC vehicles to transport staff, study participants, and materials as required.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness before use.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Ensure timely servicing, fueling, and general maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Maintain accurate records in vehicle logbooks for fuel, mileage, and service schedules.
Support field teams with logistical needs, including delivery and collection of study supplies.
Comply with traffic regulations and organizational transport policies at all times.
Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the Transport Officer.
Assist with loading/unloading of equipment and materials.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with staff and clients.
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with classes B, CM, and DL.
Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience, preferably in an NGO or institutional setting.
Experience driving long distances, including upcountry travel.
Knowledge of vehicle mechanics is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of Uganda traffic laws and road safety regulations.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
High level of integrity, reliability, and confidentiality.
Willingness to work long hours, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
