Makerere University Extends Graduate Program Application Deadline to June 10, 2025

Makerere University has officially extended the application deadline for its 2025/2026 graduate programs to June 10, 2025, according to a new notice from the Office of the Academic Registrar.
This is the second extension announced by the university, following a previous adjustment that moved the original deadline from April 30, 2025, to May 30, 2025. The latest revision provides an additional 11 days for prospective applicants to complete their submissions.
Makerere University Graduate Programs Application Extension Aims to Ease PRN Service Delays
In a statement, Academic Registrar Professor Mukadasi Buyinza explained that the extension is primarily intended to support students experiencing technical challenges with the Payment Reference Number (PRN) services—a crucial step in the application process.
Applicants are encouraged to go ahead and submit their applications, as payments will be processed once PRN services are fully restored. The university assures all candidates that they will not be penalized for payment delays caused by these system interruptions.
This move underscores Makerere’s commitment to ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all qualified candidates seeking admission to its wide range of graduate programs for the 2025/2026 academic year.
