Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and fear as the explosion rocked the area surrounding the revered Martyrs Shrine. According to initial reports, the woman was allegedly wearing the explosive device when it detonated.

Sources reveal that the duo may have been suicide bombers who were being closely monitored by Uganda’s Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force (JATT). Their efforts are believed to have prevented the attackers from reaching closer to the church, potentially averting greater catastrophe.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear. Security agencies are currently on the scene conducting investigations.

Residents are urged to remain calm and vigilant as more details unfold.
