Job Description
This hybrid contract role based in Austin, Texas, involves managing and troubleshooting Windows desktop environments and M365 cloud services. The specialist will work on system performance tuning, M365 support, GPO administration, browser configuration, scripting with PowerShell, and providing senior-level technical support. The ideal candidate will possess advanced diagnostic, scripting, and communication skills, with the ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced IT environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Required:
6+ years in Windows desktop engineering/support
Strong expertise in Windows 10/11 troubleshooting
In-depth knowledge of M365 applications and GPO management
PowerShell scripting proficiency
Active Directory administration experience
Knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
Skilled in using diagnostic tools, logs, and performance monitors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop experience
Microsoft certifications (Modern Desktop Administrator, Enterprise Admin Expert)
Endpoint security tool experience
Cloud service integration knowledge
Zoom and Microsoft Teams admin experience
Familiarity with ITIL/service management practices
