Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall health and efficiency of systems operating in Windows and Azure environments. Key tasks include implementing and refining monitoring tools, conducting routine maintenance and updates, and managing patch deployments. The administrator will develop and enforce security protocols to safeguard infrastructure and perform security audits to identify and mitigate risks. A crucial part of the role involves resolving complex systems issues, managing connectivity between on-premise and cloud systems, and ensuring seamless performance and secure data transfer. Technical support for end users and collaboration with broader IT teams are also essential responsibilities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement and optimize system monitoring tools for performance, security, and health tracking
Perform system maintenance, patch updates, and ensure continuous availability
Develop and maintain robust security protocols for protecting data and infrastructure
Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement preventative measures
Manage connectivity and data flow between on-premise and cloud-based sources
Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems, network, and database issues
Provide technical support and collaborate with internal IT teams for system optimization
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
At least 12 years of relevant IT experience
Strong expertise with Self-Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR)
Solid knowledge of cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Proficiency in troubleshooting storage-related performance issues
Preferred:
Experience designing scalable and efficient systems architecture
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
Skills in monitoring and optimizing SHIR for performance and resource efficiency
Clearance:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/Suitability clearance
