Greeting and Seating Customers:
Welcome customers as they enter the restaurant.
Escort customers to their tables and provide menus.
Taking Orders:
Provide detailed information on menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
Answer questions regarding dietary restrictions, food preparation, and ingredients.
Take accurate food and drink orders, noting any special requests.
Serving Food and Beverages:
Deliver orders to the kitchen and ensure proper preparation.
Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly.
Monitor tables and ensure customers have everything they need.
Customer Service:
Check on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals.
Respond to any complaints or issues, striving to resolve them quickly and satisfactorily.
Provide recommendations and upsell additional menu items.
Table Maintenance:
Clear dishes, silverware, and glassware from tables.
Refill drinks and provide additional items as requested.
Reset tables for the next set of diners.
Prepare and present the bill to customers.
Process payments through cash, credit cards, or other payment methods.
Ensure accurate handling of customer transactions and change.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including floors and restrooms.
Ensure that all areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures.
Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure efficient service.
Communicate effectively with team members to handle busy periods.
