How to Apply
1. Flock Health Management
Conduct regular farm visits to assess flock health and identify any signs of disease.
Develop and implement flock health plans to prevent illness and improve productivity.
Diagnose disease outbreaks and recommend appropriate treatments and interventions.
2. Disease Control & Biosecurity
Design and enforce robust biosecurity measures to prevent disease spread.
Perform routine biosecurity audits and offer actionable recommendations.
Work collaboratively with farm teams to ensure biosecurity protocols are followed.
3. Vaccination & Medication
Design and manage vaccination programs tailored to flock needs.
Prescribe and administer medications in compliance with veterinary regulations.
4. Animal Welfare
Promote adherence to animal welfare standards and best practices.
Advise on humane animal handling and overall well-being.
5. Collaboration & Communication
Liaise with farm staff, management, and relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal flock performance.
Provide timely updates on health status, trends, and issues.
Foster strong communication across departments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine, preferably with a focus on poultry.
Must be registered with the relevant veterinary board/authorities.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in poultry health and disease management.
Solid knowledge of poultry diseases, diagnostics, and treatment protocols.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
