Job Summary
Paper Toils Uganda is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Utilities & Asset Care Manager to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of all utilities and company assets. The role involves managing engineering systems, ensuring operational reliability, enforcing preventive maintenance schedules, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support seamless production processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and the ability to implement effective asset management strategies in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Oversee the management, maintenance, and efficient operation of all company utilities and physical assets.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment, machinery, and building facilities.
Monitor the performance and lifespan of assets, recommending repairs, replacements, or upgrades as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and internal teams to carry out maintenance and repairs.
Prepare budgets, track expenditure, and optimize costs related to utilities and asset management.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and asset inventories.
Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, energy savings, and sustainability improvements.
Respond promptly to asset failures or utility disruptions to minimize downtime and operational impact.
Provide technical guidance and support to staff on proper use and care of company assets.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant technical discipline.
