About the Organisation
Ndejje University (NDU) was founded in 1992. It is owned by all six Church of Uganda (CoU) Dioceses in Buganda Region, the “Ndejje University Foundation Consortium”.
The University is chartered by the NCHE, and has about 10,000 students and 500 staff based in Uganda. The University works jointly with partners in an effort to solve local and global challenges, with the aim of improving the world and social conditions.

Governance
The University is governed by the Consortium, University council and directed by academic and administrative leaders, including the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Directors, Academic Registrar and Deans.
In unison, they ensure the fulfillment of the University’s mission, uphold its core values, and manage its operations and academic affairs.
The Consortium
Ndejje University is owned by the Church of Uganda (CoU) Dioceses in Buganda Region through a Consortium called the “Ndejje University Foundation Consortium”. The Consortium is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee, not having share capital. It is responsible for appointing the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor, the Chairperson of the Council and members of the University Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
The University Bursar is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the university, including tuition and fees collection, student accounts, budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, and compliance.
The University Bursar also provides leadership and guidance to the bursar's office staff and ensures effective communication and collaboration with other university departments and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Competencies
To qualify for the University Bursar position, candidates must have a master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, and at least five years of relevant experience in higher education or a similar setting.
Candidates must also have strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in accounting software and systems.
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Ndejje University and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
