Job Description
As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will collaborate with Safaricom’s product and design teams to create user-centric digital experiences. Interns will engage in real projects to enhance their skills in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interface design. You’ll receive a monthly stipend, mentorship, and access to professional development opportunities. You will also participate in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, allowing you to contribute to a meaningful cause. By the end of the internship, you will gain valuable design experience and become part of Safaricom’s MPA accelerator alumni network.

How to Apply
Support the UI/UX team in designing user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications
Conduct user research and usability testing
Assist in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Collaborate with developers and other departments to align design with product requirements
Participate in feedback sessions and iterate on designs based on team and user input
Engage in learning opportunities and complete assigned design tasks and projects
Participate in a CSR project to support a community initiative

Eligibility Criteria:
Aged between 21–26 years
Completed undergraduate coursework or graduated within the past year
Not currently in permanent employment
Available for a full-time 6-month internship
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices
Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
Basic understanding of user-centered design and responsive design
Creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
Strong communication and teamwork skills
