Job Description
As a Trade Finance Officer, you will be responsible for executing and processing all trade-related transactions including Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Bills for Collection, and export documentation. You will collaborate with regulatory bodies, liaise with correspondent banks and money transfer operators, and ensure adherence to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) guidelines and foreign exchange (FX) policies. The role also involves managing treasury operations settlements, shipping documentation, and transaction reconciliations.

How to Apply
Initiate and approve Form M applications
Process establishment, amendment, and payment of LCs, SBLCs, and Guarantees
Initiate and process Bills for Collection transactions
Liaise with the CBN for resolution of operational issues
Process export and FX inflow/outflow transactions
Manage treasury product settlements and reconciliations
Reconcile Nostro, Settlement, and Transit accounts
Provide first-level Processmaker approval for trade transactions
Manage CBN portal operations via Webfontainne
Handle payment and processing of custom duties
Manage relationships with correspondent banks
Review and process shipping documents and Pre-Arrival Assessment Reports
Support invisibles payments and FX transaction confirmations
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant banking experience in trade finance or international settlements
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of CBN FX manual and trade finance regulations
Good understanding of treasury products and international banking operations
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently
High level of integrity and professional judgment
