A Technician specializing in Plumbing and Electricity is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role requires a blend of technical skills, practical experience, and knowledge of safety regulations to ensure that systems operate effectively and safely.
Maintain installation of water; Regular checking of plumbing appliances and generators;
Prepare technical specifications of plumbing equipment’s or spare parts to be procured;
Monitor the supply and usage of water within the center
Maintain all water tanks
Repair any break down of water or plumbing installation;
Regular checking of plumbing appliances and generators;
Prepare technical specifications of plumbing equipment’s or spare parts to be procured;
Monitor the supply and usage of water within the center
Repair any electricity break down; Replacement of bulbs, sockets etc., if any;
Regular checking of electrical appliances and generators;
Prepare technical specifications of electrical equipment’s or spare parts to be procured;
Monitor the supply and usage of electricity within the center
Formal Education:
A diploma or certificate in plumbing, electrical technology, or a related field from a technical school, community college, or vocational program is typically required.
Some positions may require a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant technical training and apprenticeships.
Relevant Coursework:
Courses in plumbing systems, electrical circuits, blueprint reading, building codes, and safety procedures are beneficial.
Hands-on training in both plumbing and electrical work is essential.
Experience:
Professional Experience:
0-2 years of experience for entry-level positions, often gained through apprenticeships or trainee roles.
2-5 years or more of experience for more advanced or supervisory roles, especially in both plumbing and electrical systems.
Hands-On Experience:
Practical experience with installing and repairing plumbing fixtures (pipes, sinks, toilets, etc.) and electrical components (wiring, outlets, switches, etc.).
Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with plumbing and electrical systems.
