Job Description
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to various operating systems, applications, and remote systems. The position requires fluency in English, proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. This full-time role involves working 44 hours per week, covering 2 PM to 10 PM East Africa Time (EAT). The candidate should have strong organizational and troubleshooting skills, a willingness to learn, and preferably some familiarity with cloud-based systems or scripting languages.

How to Apply
Provide technical support to users, focusing on troubleshooting issues across Windows and Linux platforms.
Troubleshoot IIS, Windows Services, registry errors, permission issues, and application crashes.
Analyze and interpret system and application logs to identify root causes.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Maintain an organized workflow and deliver timely support responses.
Continuously learn and improve knowledge of technical support practices and tools.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues when needed.
Support remote device management and participate in quality assurance efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Skills in debugging application and system-level issues.
Ability to read and interpret system logs.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Willingness to grow in a technical support environment.
Desirable (Not Required):
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Administration, or Cybersecurity.
Familiarity with Windows Server, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with system crashes, boot errors, and user profile issues.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
