Position: Teaching Assistant

Kampala Community International Preschool (KCIP) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role focuses on working with our Play Group class (ages 18 months to 2 years), supporting their early learning, play, and social-emotional growth in a nurturing, child-centered environment.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and learning activities

  • Support children during playtime, transitions, meals, and other routines

  • Help prepare learning materials and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom

  • Observe and document children’s developmental milestones

  • Communicate observations and progress with the teaching team

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
