Job Description
The TA will work remotely for 10 hours per week during the course delivery period. Reporting to the Director, Institute of Global Health, the TA will collaborate with instructors and the course coordinator to provide support with academic grading, content organization on the Canvas platform, and creation of teaching materials. The course covers topics such as equity vs. equality, global disease burden, and social determinants of health. The role also requires responsive communication with students and staff, a commitment to academic integrity, and contribution to an inclusive learning environment.

How to Apply
Grade assignments, quizzes, reports, and exams, offering feedback that aligns with equity-focused frameworks.
Update and maintain the Canvas course site, ensuring accessibility and relevance of learning materials.
Draft and refine instructional resources such as slide decks, case studies, and multimedia content.
Address student and administrative queries in a professional and timely manner.
Promote and adhere to UGHE’s Code of Conduct and Honor Code.
Foster a respectful, diverse, and equitable learning environment.
Master’s degree in Global Health Delivery (MGHD), Public Health, or an equivalent with a focus on global health equity or health disparities.
Graduate-level knowledge in social determinants of health, human rights in health, global burden of disease, or implementation science.
Prior teaching assistant or tutoring experience, especially in equity-driven or problem-based learning environments.
Strong academic writing and editing skills with the ability to guide student improvement.
Up to 10 hours per week availability across multiple time zones.
Proficiency with online learning tools; experience with Canvas is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
A demonstrated commitment to social justice and equitable health outcomes.
