We have an exciting opening for an experienced and data-driven Transportation Analyst to join our PSLD team in South Africa. In this pivotal role, you will analyze and develop transportation plans to manage the movement of commodities across our manufacturing and distribution network. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of our logistics at optimal transportation cost levels.

Analyzing transportation plans and identifying opportunities for improvements to meet client needs.
Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs, carrier performance and lead times.
Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and providing solutions to reduce lead times.

Process Management : Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Transportation - PHA: Knowledge of and experience with the means of transporting materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers the manufacturing facility.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
What will put you forward
3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Complete qualification in logistics or a related field.
Proficiency in Excel and data reporting tools such as Power BI– Intermediary.

Takes initiative and works well on their own.
