Job Description
The Student Advising Manager - Africa will be responsible for leading a team of advisors and offering expert guidance to students seeking study abroad opportunities. The manager will assess candidates’ suitability for various programs and institutions, offer informed advice on application processes, and ensure seamless execution of admission procedures. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date program information, resolving client queries, and ensuring excellent client experiences to boost referrals and satisfaction.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a student advising team of 3-7 members
Provide expert counselling on study destinations, programs, and universities
Guide students through application and admission procedures
Maintain a detailed database of program and university information (USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Australia, and more)
Assess student eligibility and advise on appropriate study paths
Resolve student and parent queries with accuracy and timeliness
Enhance client satisfaction to increase referrals and positive feedback
Exhibit strong interpersonal and presentation skills when engaging with stakeholders
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (field not specified)
Minimum 5 years of experience in the study abroad or international education sector
Key Competencies:
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Excellent spoken and written English
Customer service-oriented with a willingness to assist students and parents
Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets
Self-driven, motivated, and capable of independent research
Proficiency in using CRM tools and managing client databases
