Job Description

The Store Manager will be accountable for the efficient operation of the store to achieve financial targets, customer satisfaction, and compliance. The role includes managing sales, operations, stock, and staff, ensuring the store’s visual presentation aligns with brand standards, and driving staff productivity and engagement. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring smooth collaboration between store, pharmacy, and clinic operations.

How to Apply

Education:

  • Essential: Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Maths and English

  • Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in Retail, Finance Management, Pharmacy, or a related field (External applicants)


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail/FMCG store management role with an annual turnover of at least R50 million

  • Strong people management experience with large, diverse teams

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management (budgeting, profit & loss, financial ratios)


Knowledge:

  • Financial management and stock control

  • Retail/FMCG operations, merchandising, and promotions

  • Customer service excellence and compliance procedures

  • Labour legislation, IR practices, and competency-based interviewing


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
