Job Description
The Store Manager will be accountable for the efficient operation of the store to achieve financial targets, customer satisfaction, and compliance. The role includes managing sales, operations, stock, and staff, ensuring the store’s visual presentation aligns with brand standards, and driving staff productivity and engagement. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring smooth collaboration between store, pharmacy, and clinic operations.

How to Apply
Drive and maximize sales to achieve store financial targets
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance and take appropriate action
Manage store operations including stock control, shrinkage, expenses, and administration
Oversee in-store execution of merchandising and promotional activities
Recruit, train, and develop competent and motivated store employees
Prepare staff schedules in line with labour policies and store needs
Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks, including HR submissions
Implement and oversee customer service strategies to increase loyalty and satisfaction
Foster relationships with centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centres
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to leverage opportunities
Promote integration and alignment across the store, pharmacy, and clinic teams
Cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with the company's values and objectives
Education:
Essential: Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Maths and English
Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in Retail, Finance Management, Pharmacy, or a related field (External applicants)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail/FMCG store management role with an annual turnover of at least R50 million
Strong people management experience with large, diverse teams
Demonstrated experience in financial management (budgeting, profit & loss, financial ratios)
Knowledge:
Financial management and stock control
Retail/FMCG operations, merchandising, and promotions
Customer service excellence and compliance procedures
Labour legislation, IR practices, and competency-based interviewing
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and team supervision skills
Results-driven with excellent planning and organizing abilities
Customer-focused with solid problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Financial acumen and computer literacy
