As a Sous Chef, you play a crucial role in the culinary team, assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations. Your expertise ensures that the guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences. If you’re passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have strong leadership skills, this position is perfect for you.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Food Preparation and Quality Assurance:
Collaborating with the Head Chef to create and execute menus.
Ensuring high-quality meals are prepared consistently.
Maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen.
Kitchen Management:
Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Managing kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.
Monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Menu Innovation:
Developing new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
Assisting in meal planning and design.
Customer Satisfaction:
Resolving customer concerns personally.
Ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Adhering to health codes and sanitation guidelines.
Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Leading by example and working alongside the Executive Chef.
Establishing professional relationships with the team.
Providing educational opportunities for skill development.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the restaurant industry.
Culinary Expertise:
Proficiency in food preparation techniques and menu planning.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff.
Creativity:
A knack for developing innovative menu items.
Attention to Detail:
Ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
