Job Description
This role is responsible for coordinating shareholder-related services such as the sale and issuance of shares, monitoring transfers, and maintaining accurate shareholder records. The officer facilitates meetings and communication with shareholders’ representative committees, ensures legal compliance, and supports the implementation of committee recommendations. The role also involves evaluating shareholder contributions to the bank's growth and building committee capacity through effective engagement strategies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitate effective communication and reporting among shareholders, committees, and bank staff.
Ensure all shareholder activities and committee operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze reports from shareholders’ representative committees.
Implement committee recommendations and develop strategies for better committee functionality.
Enhance shareholder representative capacity through training and engagement.
Promote understanding of shareholder roles in share dissemination, registration, and sale.
Organize and support annual and branch-level meetings for shareholders.
Maintain clean and accurate shareholder registries.
Respond to shareholder queries in coordination with branches.
Support the bank’s governance objectives through improved shareholder relations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any Business-Related field.
Experience: At least 4 years in shareholder relations, corporate communication, or banking operations.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of shareholder legal frameworks and governance
Organizational and coordination abilities
Analytical thinking and report writing
Customer service orientation
Proficiency in data and registry management
