The Senior Transport Officer is responsible for managing the transport operations of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), including planning, budgeting, coordinating, and supervising the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.
The Senior Transport Officer also ensures compliance with the relevant laws, policies, and procedures regarding transport safety, security, and environmental standards.

The Senior Transport Officer should have the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
At least five years of relevant work experience in transport management, preferably in a public sector organization.
Knowledge of the national and international transport regulations and standards.
Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, GPS, and fleet management software.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
