Position Title: Senior Trader – FX, ALM & Fixed Income

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Trader to lead our Foreign Exchange (FX), Asset Liability Management (ALM), and Fixed Income (FI) trading activities. The role is pivotal in optimizing trading performance, managing financial market risks, and contributing to the Treasury department's overall strategy and profitability.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Advisory: Analyze local, regional, and global financial markets to guide trading decisions and provide insights to support the bank’s financial strategy.
Pricing & Execution: Accurately and efficiently price FX, money market, and fixed income instruments to ensure profitability and alignment with market trends.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with counterparties to drive transaction volumes and establish the desk as a trusted market partner.
Trading Innovation & Product Development: Innovate trading strategies and support the creation of new market products to stay ahead in a dynamic financial landscape.
Treasury Sales Support: Provide real-time market intelligence and pricing support to the Treasury sales team to optimize customer offerings.
Execution Oversight: Ensure seamless end-to-end trade execution in collaboration with Operations and Risk teams, maintaining operational excellence and control.
Funding & Liquidity Management: Monitor daily funding and placement needs, ensuring optimal use of bank funds and effective nostro account management.
Market Trend Monitoring: Stay informed on developments in primary and secondary securities markets to support strategic trading decisions.
Compliance & Risk Controls: Adhere to all regulatory requirements, trading limits, and internal controls related to treasury and balance sheet management.
ALCO Reporting & Balance Sheet Strategy: Support the Head of Treasury in preparing monthly ALCO reports and managing the bank’s balance sheet dynamically.
Client Engagement: Drive business development by engaging with institutional and high-net-worth investors across FX, MM, and FI products.
Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to Treasury’s strategic planning and help deliver departmental financial targets.
Additional Duties: Execute responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Treasury.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.ACI Dealing Certificate required. Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on Treasury experience, with expertise in FX, money markets, and fixed income trading.

Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a focus on long-term value creation.
