Job Description
Job Title: Senior Records Officer
Organisation: Judicial Service Commission
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Planning and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the registry;
Developing classification schemes;
Supporting the establishment of Registries And Records Centres;
Implementing records retention and disposal schedules;
Implementing regulations, standards, systems and procedures for records management; and
Providing electronic records documents management services.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Applicants shall be Ugandan citizens holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Records and Archives Management, Records and Information Management, or any other relevant qualification in the field of Archives and Records Information Management (at least a Second-Class Lower Division) from a recognised university or awarding institution.
At least three (3) years’ working experience attained at the level of Records Officer in Government or at another reputable organisation.

Copies of academic certificates and transcripts certified by the issuing institution. Note: The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) should be certified by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
Names, contacts and letters of recommendation of two (2) professional and two (2) character referees.
A certified copy of the applicant’s latest and complete Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities from the Inspectorate of Government.
Copies of previous appointment, confirmation and promotion letters (where applicable).
Any other relevant documents.
