As part of MTN’s Group Sustainability function, the Senior Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing an enterprise and supplier development strategy across MTN’s operating markets. This includes fostering inclusive economic growth by identifying, mentoring, and integrating local SMEs and diverse suppliers into MTN’s supply chain. The incumbent will work closely with internal departments, external stakeholders, and suppliers to create scalable and impactful programs. The role demands expertise in stakeholder engagement, procurement transformation, and capacity building, with a focus on meeting regulatory requirements and advancing sustainable practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced qualifications (preferred)

  • Relevant certifications/accreditations in procurement or sustainability

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in supply chain management, enterprise development, or supplier relations

  • Proven track record of driving supplier diversity and local content initiatives

  • Experience in emerging markets (especially Africa and the Middle East)

  • Strong experience working with government agencies and NGOs

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic leadership and project management skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities

  • Deep understanding of ESG frameworks, procurement best practices, and supplier transformation

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to drive change in cross-cultural and dynamic environments
