Developing and implementing human resource policies and procedures in line with the strategic objectives of the institute.
Coordinating and facilitating staff recruitment, selection, induction, performance appraisal, training and development, and disciplinary actions.
Managing the payroll, benefits, and welfare schemes for the staff and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Maintaining and updating the human resource information system and records.
Providing guidance and advice to management and staff on human resource matters and best practices.

A bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
At least five years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a research or training institution.
Knowledge of the labor laws and regulations in Uganda and the East African region.
Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office and human resource software.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
