Job Description
The Senior Finance Manager will report to the CEO (and eventually the CFO) and will be responsible for designing and maintaining financial systems, managing financial compliance across Kenya and Delaware (USA), overseeing monthly closings, and managing accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow. The successful candidate will supervise a team and work cross-functionally to support the company’s rapid growth, ensure audit readiness, and maintain financial integrity.

How to Apply
Supervise the finance team (bookkeeper and collections manager) and ensure timely, high-quality outputs.
Build and implement internal financial systems, processes, and controls.
Lead monthly financial closings and reporting (P&L, balance sheet, budget vs. actuals).
Oversee accounts receivable, invoicing, and customer payment processes.
Manage daily cash flow and maintain liquidity for operations and growth.
Handle payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate compensation.
Track and report company assets, including inventory and fixed assets.
Ensure full compliance with tax and financial regulations in Kenya and Delaware, USA.
Coordinate year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Contribute to strategic planning and financial forecasting for leadership decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
Experience:
5–10 years of progressive financial management experience, ideally within a corporation.
Background in startups, social enterprises, agri-business, or impact organizations is desirable.
Key Competencies:
Expertise in financial reporting, systems development, and cash flow management.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Strong team management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Familiarity with Kenyan and U.S. (Delaware) tax and financial compliance.
High integrity, attention to detail, and solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
