Job Description
The Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of Azure-based systems for one of Proxify’s clients. This includes building cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, managing CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The role requires collaboration with development, operations, and security teams to create effective solutions while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining technical documentation. Candidates must be detail-oriented, problem-solvers with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, or Bash.
Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related tools.
Manage containerized applications with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to define and manage resources.
Monitor and maintain system health with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools.
Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance for Azure resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement effective solutions.
Create and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Optimize Azure resources for performance and cost efficiency.
Document infrastructure designs, deployment processes, and best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on Azure.
Strong knowledge of Azure services including VMs, App Service, Functions, and AKS.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).
Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
Availability within CET time zone (+/- 3 hours).
