Job Description
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining modern data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL workflows. You will design data models, optimize performance, and enforce governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. This role involves collaborating with teams to integrate data across sources, implementing automation for data processing, and addressing bottlenecks for efficient and reliable data infrastructure. Candidates must be highly skilled in SQL, Python/Java, and data engineering frameworks, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms and warehouse systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architectures including data warehouses and lakes.
Develop and optimize robust ETL processes for reliable data flow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Design and implement effective data models to support analytical needs.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the data infrastructure.
Enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy/security standards.
Automate data processing, monitoring, and maintenance workflows.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes and data architectures.
Proficiency in SQL and programming languages (Python/Java).
Strong knowledge of Apache Spark or similar frameworks.
Experience with data warehouse platforms (Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Solid understanding of data modeling and governance principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize data infrastructure.
Must be located in CET timezone ± 3 hours.
