Job Description
This role requires a seasoned corporate secretarial professional who will deliver end-to-end secretarial services, including preparing board and AGM documentation, managing statutory filings, and maintaining registers. The Senior Consultant will support company formations, governance advisory engagements, board trainings and evaluations, and ensure clients meet regulatory obligations. The role also involves leading engagements, mentoring junior staff, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s governance excellence.
The holder will engage senior stakeholders, exercise sound judgement, ensure confidentiality, and uphold high professional standards.

Provide Board and Board Committee meeting support, including convening, attending and preparing minutes
Support planning and execution of Annual General Meetings
Monitor compliance calendars and ensure timely statutory filings under the Companies Act
Process work and residence permit applications for clients
Assist in incorporation and administration of Kenyan and foreign entities
Manage changes in company structure and make relevant filings on the BRS platform
Maintain statutory records including registers and share certificates
Support Board inductions, trainings and evaluations
Conduct governance audits
Train and supervise junior staff, ensuring high-quality output
Record and account for time spent on assignments
Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of key business information to directors
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or relevant business discipline
Relevant professional company secretarial qualifications
Experience
Minimum 6 years’ hands-on company secretarial experience in a busy firm or corporate environment
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of corporate governance and Kenyan company law
Experience with BRS filings and statutory record maintenance
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
High attention to detail, confidentiality and integrity
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
