Job Description
Reporting to the Principal Compliance Officer or Manager – Compliance, the Senior Compliance Officer will receive and review annual returns from PBOs, assess their compliance status, and guide organizations on regulatory requirements. The role involves developing compliance tracking tools, maintaining updated databases on PBO status, and issuing compliance notices. The officer will also manage cases of non-compliance, document complaints, prepare monthly reports, and support enforcement activities, including developing lists of penalized or blacklisted organizations. Additionally, the officer will convene meetings to review waiver requests and update risk management systems.

How to Apply
Receive, scrutinize, and acknowledge annual returns from PBOs.
Guide PBOs on registration and compliance services.
Analyze returns using risk-based approaches to detect non-compliance.
Coordinate with internal teams to generate compliance notices and reminders.
Develop and maintain a list of non-compliant PBOs and their due dates.
Maintain updated databases on PBO compliance status and blacklisted officials.
Track and follow up on expired compliance notices.
Prepare and submit monthly compliance reports to the Data Management Unit.
Convene meetings to evaluate waiver requests.
Prepare guidance materials and support PBOs with compliance procedures.
Maintain accurate files of complaints and investigations.
Support risk management and maintain the compliance risk database.
Issue timely compliance notices and monitor adherence to operational manuals.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
At least four (4) years of relevant experience, or three (3) years as a Compliance Officer.
Master’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or Business Administration (Strategic Management) or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Development Studies, Commerce, Project Management, or Business Administration.
Minimum KCSE grade of C+ or equivalent.
Certificate in a supervisory course (minimum 2 weeks).
Membership in good standing with a relevant professional body.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
