Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed blockchain tracing and digital asset investigations using specialized tools and techniques. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing blockchain data, preparing investigation reports, setting up and managing relevant digital asset tools and software, and supporting the broader forensic and compliance teams with due diligence, onboarding, and investigative work. The role requires expertise in Web3 technologies, crypto ecosystems, smart contracts, and regulatory requirements related to Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs). The analyst will also assist with preparing for license applications, sanctions checks, and digital asset compliance protocols.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct blockchain tracing and digital asset investigations
Perform sanctions screening and analytics related to Web3 protocols
Analyze blockchain networks and provide detailed reporting
Operate and manage digital asset tracing software (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic)
Assist with onboarding clients and conducting enhanced due diligence
Support corporate intelligence, eDiscovery, and fraud investigations
Set up systems and software for digital asset investigations
Meet strict deadlines and manage investigative projects efficiently
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver end-to-end forensic services
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Essential Requirements:
Proven knowledge and experience in Web3 ecosystems and digital assets
Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator or equivalent
Additional qualifications such as CFA, CFE, ACEDs, ACAMs, or a relevant degree preferred
3–5 years post-qualification experience in digital investigations or financial crime
Hands-on experience with blockchain tracing tools (e.g., Elliptic, Chainalysis Reactor)
Understanding of smart contracts and blockchain development (e.g., Solidity)
Strong written communication, numerical, and IT skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage complex digital investigations
