Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, the Senior Analyst will play a key role in external financial reporting, technical accounting research, policy development, and audit support. The position requires close collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including Consolidations, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, and Human Resources. Responsibilities include preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 11-K), assisting with new accounting pronouncements, maintaining equity compensation records, supporting audits, and participating in digital transformation initiatives. This is a hybrid position located in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file SEC documents, including Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 11-K.

  • Collaborate with Investor Relations on press releases, investor supplements, and presentations.

  • Support internal financial reporting and analysis.

  • Research and implement new accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements.

  • Develop and maintain company-wide accounting policies and procedures.

  • Maintain equity compensation accounting records (ASC 718 compliance).

  • Provide support for 401(k) and pension audits.

  • Respond to auditor requests and questions.

  • Contribute to digital transformation projects and operational initiatives.

  • Review quarterly XBRL tagging for SEC filings.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

  • CPA designation (preferred or in progress).

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, including public accounting with SEC client exposure.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 805 (Business Combinations).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a forward-thinking mindset.

  • Team player with strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to build strong working relationships.
