How to Apply
Control pedestrian and vehicle access by verifying identities before granting entry.
Direct visitors to the vetting station for clearance.
Operate security equipment such as X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors, bomb detectors, and CCTV systems.
Conduct thorough searches of vehicles and individuals entering and exiting Parliament precincts.
Inspect and validate gate passes to ensure no unauthorized removal of property.
Screen, vet, and clear visitors to restrict access to authorized individuals only.
Maintain security presence at main lobbies, corridors, and car parks to deter criminal activity.
Apprehend unauthorized persons for questioning and security verification.
Record all incidents and security matters in the Occurrence Book for documentation and reference.
Handle and register complaints from MPs, staff, and the public and forward them for resolution.
Patrol boundary lines and internal buildings to prevent unauthorized access and ensure security compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education)
Competencies and Skills:
Strong observational and communication skills
Basic knowledge of security operations and equipment
Physical fitness and ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
High integrity, discipline, and ability to follow protocol
Experience in a security-related role is an added advantage
