Job Description
The Sales & Market Lead will drive the commercial expansion of Moyee Coffee’s roasted coffee line across Kenya and the wider East African market. The role involves developing and executing a strategic sales plan to acquire and manage B2B clients, from lead generation to deal closure and long-term account management.
The successful candidate will combine traditional relationship-building skills with modern digital tools such as HubSpot, ChatGPT, Apollo, and Odoo to streamline CRM processes, improve customer engagement, and maximize performance.
As part of a bold, purpose-driven international team, you will also represent Moyee Coffee at trade shows, develop partnerships, track KPIs, and help position the brand as the leading fair-trade roasted coffee supplier in the region.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Segment and target prospects; run multichannel outreach cadences using AI and CRM automation.
Conduct tastings/demos; run ROI/value-based sales conversations with decision makers.
Negotiate pricing, volumes and service levels; draft/execute contracts and onboarding plans.
Own key accounts: QBRs, upsell/cross-sell, churn prevention and relationship mapping.
Plan and execute event calendars and in-market activations with measurable outcomes.
Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline health and forecast discipline.
Report performance weekly; recommend experiments to improve conversion and retention.
Coordinate internally on production, inventory, delivery schedules and customer issue resolution.
Ensure brand and ethical trade narrative is consistently communicated.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field; MBA is a plus.
5+ years’ success in B2B/FMCG sales (coffee/beverages/hospitality preferred).
Proven pipeline building, enterprise hunting and key-account management skills.
Proficiency with CRM and AI-assisted lead generation (HubSpot/Apollo/ChatGPT/Odoo).
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Data-driven, entrepreneurial and hands-on; delivers against targets.
Fluent in English; Swahili is a strong advantage.
Passion for ethical trade, impact and challenging the status quo.
