About the Organisation
The Makueni County Public Service Board (MCPSB) was established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act, 2012. It is a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal, capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name. Inaugurated on 5th August 2013, the Board is composed of a Chairman, five Board Members, and a Secretary appointed by the Governor. Its mandate is to establish and manage a professional, efficient, and effective county public service that supports economic growth and service delivery to the people of Makueni.

Job Description

This internship is ideal for graduates seeking hands-on experience in finance and revenue management within the public sector.

Assist in revenue collection and receipting processes.
Support in maintaining accurate financial and revenue records.
Participate in audits, reconciliations, and reporting exercises.
Engage with clients and the public to provide information on revenue matters.
Assist in monitoring compliance with revenue policies and regulations.
Support the preparation of revenue reports and performance summaries.
Carry out any other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or any other business-related course from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office and accounting systems).
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
High integrity and willingness to learn.
