Research Officer – Legal and Regulatory Reforms
Role Summary
The Research Officer will support legal and regulatory reform initiatives within the private sector development framework and report to the Head/PSDU through the Lead Officer for Legal and Regulatory Reforms.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct business environment and investment climate assessments.
Prepare quarterly updates for the National Business Environment Index.
Produce Investment Climate Updates aligned to the export agenda.
Support the annual Doing Business Forum.
Produce policy inputs and briefs.
Assess legal and regulatory reform performance.
Conduct regulatory coverage gap analyses.
Participate in national and global competitiveness surveys.
Support NSPSD mid-term and end-term evaluations.
Contribute to development of the third NSPSD.
Support Public–Private Dialogue activities.
Undertake business licensing and regulatory reform tasks.
Participate in field activities and produce briefs.
Any other tasks assigned by Management.
