Job Description
Working under close supervision of Senior Researchers, the Research Assistant II will assist with field data collection, computer data entry/cleaning, statistical analysis, and literature gathering. The role prepares technical reports and draft manuscripts for review; participates in preparing progress reports and work plans; helps plan specific research projects; contributes to fundable research proposals and consultancies; trains and supervises technicians; and performs other institute-assigned duties aligned with study objectives and timelines.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with field data collection, data entry/cleaning, analysis, and literature reviews.
Prepare and submit technical reports to supervisors.
Draft manuscripts for supervisor review.
Train and supervise technicians involved in studies.
Contribute to research progress reports per work plans.
Assist in planning specific research projects.
Help prepare fundable research proposals and consultancies.
Perform other official duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized institution with Upper Second Class minimum or overall Grade B+ for unclassified degrees.
(Preferred) ~12 months of relevant research experience.
Strong analytical, writing, and documentation skills.
Proficient in computer-based data entry and basic analysis.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under supervision and in teams.
