Job Description
As a Remote Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for entering, verifying, and updating information in company databases. You will review source documents for errors, maintain records, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and security standards. You will collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and support data management needs, including retrieving information and performing regular backups. The ideal candidate has strong typing skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and can work independently in a remote environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Accurately input data from source documents into databases and systems.
Review entries for errors, inconsistencies, and make corrections.
Verify data accuracy by comparing with source materials.
Update and retrieve existing records as needed.
Perform regular system backups to preserve data.
Organize and maintain digital files for efficient data retrieval.
Collaborate with team members to resolve data-related issues.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure security of sensitive information.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar role.
Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and data entry software.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools.
Familiarity with data protection regulations and best practices.
