Job Description
The Relationship Officer will provide crucial support to Institutional Banking Relationship Managers by handling customer inquiries, processing transactions, coordinating account services, and addressing client needs. The role requires operational excellence, effective communication, and proactive business development support to foster strong client relationships and contribute to the bank’s growth strategy.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Handle customers' routine inquiries regarding bank tariffs, deposit interest rates, and exchange rate information.
Assist with general account queries, inter-account transfers, and statement orders.
Coordinate ordering of cheque books, paying-in books, and customized stationery.
Manage account openings, closures, transfers, and updates to customer account details.
Set up, amend, and cancel regular payment instructions.
Process inward and outward payments, including obtaining necessary customer authorizations.
Assist customers with local and international payments via the Trade Finance Department.
Act as the main point of contact when the Manager is away.
Resolve customer queries related to branch-based products and services, ensuring issues are properly recorded.
Handle customer complaints and recommend improvements to avoid recurrence.
Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement in service delivery to IB customers.
Identify process and procedure improvements for greater operational effectiveness.
Recognize and pursue cross-selling opportunities within managed client portfolios.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field.
Knowledge and Experience:
Understanding of Institutional Banking products or a willingness to learn.
Good analytical skills.
Highly effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Good negotiation and active listening skills.
Professional demeanor with high integrity and respect for diversity.
